Since February the Goma wada team organizes a series of virtual meet-ups on a monthly basis, the aim here is gather people in the cardano community and exchange about some updates and projects while sharing knowledge about various topics.
The first session was held on 8th of February and gathered about 20 people, discussions were held around NFTs with two speakers Quasar for English speakers and Bineta Ngom for the French community.
Why French speaker?
Goma is in the Dem. Rep. of Congo and French is the official language and frequently spoken, English is being a barrier for several people intending to join the community around the world, we create a room to let everyone feel comfortable wether they speak French or English.
The second session was held in a breakout room in Catalyst townhall 1st March.

Since March 2023, we found better to hold these sessions in a breakout room after the Catalyst Townhall on each first event of the month, “GOMA MONTHLY” means on the first Wednesday of each month.
Several topics are planned, such as:
- Cardano’s wallets
- NFT creation, browsing and marketplaces
- Cardano stable coins: Djed, Usda
- Stake pools: delegation, how it works
- Cardano’s project catalyst roles
- Catalyst tools
- Tokenization
- Cardano: sidechain, , testnets, preprod)
- Introduction to web 3
- Introduction to metaverse
- ….
This is an experiment, things may change, may break or lack documentation.
For each session we prepare a topic and a guest speaker, if you’re interested to meet the Goma community and talk of anything, let us know few weeks or days before on stakepoolgoma@gmail.com so we may plan accordingly.
